Check out the Dioramas I've done in 2021 below.
The idea came to me in the summer of 2020--why not make a 1/6 scale town out of cardboard? I love the movie, "Tombstone," so I started with The Oriental and Billiards. They are really huge, so I had to scale back my whole town theme and decided to put my favorite buildings (improvising some) from many different Western TV shows that I love. I've run out of room now, so I am not sure if I wil be constructing any more buildings!
This is the largest building I have made out of cardboard. It was so much fun finding and making all the props and details.
This is my version of the small bank in my town of Tombstone.
This may not be what the Barber Shop in Tombstone looked like in its day, but this is my version. I tried to incorporate all the things you'd see in an 1880's Barber Shop.
The Bath House was the first small carboard building I made--and I was hooked on cardboard ever since!
I know Doc Adams was really from Dodge City (Gunsmoke), but in his honor he is a resident of my town of Tombstone. This Doctor's Office was so much fun to create and gather all the props.
Quint Asper was the Blacksmith on "Gunsmoke," but he is my blacksmith in the town of Tombstone.
