1/6 scale cattle

      I've always wanted 1:6 scale cattle--even from the time I was a young girl (see letter below I received from Marx after writing them to see if they would make some cattle).    

I've never found any in all my years until recently when scouring the internet and ebay.  I found the Homco laying cows--they seemed to be the perfect scale for my Johnny West clan.  They are hard to find, though, and are becoming quite scarce.  I also found a beautiful example of a TRUE 1:6 cow sculpted by Luis Aguilar (Nohuanda)--see unpainted cow picture with Johnny

Back to the cows-- I've had a love for cows as long as I've had my love for horses.  I've started collecting the Homco cows and have kept a few good examples for my permanent herd.  The ones that have blemishes are put in the "recycle" shelf to repaint them into something completely different.  I've managed to repaint several of them but have sold most of them.  They are repainted by hand (no air brushing) with acrylic paints.   They are not perfect, but it's nice to have some cattle for Johnny West after all these years. 

I had also found another near 1:6 scale cow named Brown Bessie that has horns.  I've resculpted/repainted several of these (see below), but will not be doing any more.  Unfortunately, I have been informed that they are no longer available :(.  I had planned to do many more and keep a few for myself.
