The Rustic Cabin

This cabin was a labor of love--made by my brother, Billy--and is the first prototype of cabins he has built in this scale.  It is 20" x 24" inside (which equates to a 10' x 12' cabin in real life), and the front porch is an additional 8" wide.  The roof comes off so you can manipulate things inside.  The stone fire place was handcrafted by Billy.  He is amazing!  After building this one, he found a better way to do his buildings.  Any cabins this size will be collapsible in the future; and they will be in the style of the 8x8 miner's cabin where the roof peaks are attached to the walls instead of the roof (as shown on this rustic cabin below).  He is also using a golden pecan stain for the entire structure which looks much better, although I do like the look of the darker roof.
